Israeli planes violated Lebanese air space on Wednesday, prompting anti-aircraft fire from the army, Lebanese police said.
According to the police the anti-aircraft fire targeted an Israeli drone east of the southern port city of Tyre, but it was not hit.
Earlier, Israeli fighter-bombers had flown for two hours at low altitude over various areas of southern Lebanon, including Tyre, police said.
The UN has demanded a stop of Israel's violation of Lebanese airspace because it breaches UN Security Council Resolution 1701 which implemented the August 14 ceasefire that ended the 33-day conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
