This week was full of little pieces of "gossip". I like to call it "oral narrative historiography" not gossip.
But call it what you will...

Rumors, gossip, grapevine news, off the wires...does not matter...it's juicy and fits perfectly well into the overall picture...

The American ambassador, Khalilzad visited "Kurdistan" today. He was joyfully watching some kurdish folk dance and the american flag was waving next to the kurdish one in a tranquil pastoral scenery.

Everyone looked very happy and content. Mission accomplished.

I wonder why I have not read anyone from the "left" accusing Barazani or Talabani of being CIA agents propped by the American government? Ah, I remember they were oppressed...

Well,thought I would mention it "en passant"...just a detail, really.

Talking about the kurds again. My relative Mona came by for a cup of tea.

Mona is half kurdish, half arab. We talked about various subjects.

One of them, Kamel and Omar...and the discussion drifted to the first day of the invasion.

Mona revealed something to me she had not mentioned to me in past discussions. Namely, during the first week of the invasion, in the Hay al Dhubat, where she was visiting a friend, she saw with her own two eyes, 3 tanks. 2 kuwaitis and 1 american followed by a couple of humvees and around 30 iraqis brought in buses from Madinat Al Thawra (now known as the illuminated Sadr City).

She stopped and watched what they were doing.

A new multi speciality clinic had just opened next to her friend's house.

The guys from Sadr city protected by the Kuwaitis and the Americans went on a looting spree, stealing dental and surgical equipment which they have no use for, lab ustensils, ophthalmological machines and the like...

They then proceeded to smash them to pieces, tearing whatever they could tear apart...

Mona was surprised to see Kuwaitis there. Only today she learned that 48% of the Kuwaiti population is Shia too and very pro-Iran.

Still on Kuwait, another piece of gossip.

Fifi Abdo, the famous Egyptian belly dancer said in an interview the following:

" Listen darling, I am no politician. I was born a belly dancer and will die as a belly dancer...but I tell you one thing for Truth's sake, one highly prominent member of the Sheikh al Sabah family told me personally...of course darling I cannot reveal his exact name...but he said to me: We pay money for every Iraqi killed..."

I choose to believe Fifi Abdo the belly dancer over Bush and his stooges in the Gulf and in Kuwait. Mind you, this piece did not surprise me at all.

One saudi "diplomat" told me a few months before the 2003 invasion "we, saudis will not have peace until we see one dead in every single Iraqi family and the first dead one will have to be Saddam and his own..."

Back to Mona, she then gives me another story and she swears she saw it with her own eyes.

She saw again a couple of american tanks and a bunch of Iraqis from "illuminated" Sadr city.
This latter were trying to break into Baghdad Technology University.

The gates were locked with thick metal chains. The americans facilitated the job...They just rolled with their tanks into the gates, smashing them down...

Our brave iraqis then went onto another destruction rampage, looting the university, smashing all the furniture and computers, burning the books...

-What do you think is the reason behind all of this Mona?

-It is clear, they wanted to destroy Iraq and all the educated classes and take us back to the dark ages...That is also why they killed some many academics. You know I did not fear the Americans...my biggest fear during the first week of the invasion was Iran..I knew Iran was involved in all of this...and I am sure the Mossad was too.

- of course the Mossad was and is still involved. It is common knowledge in Baghdad.

Then our discussion moved to the Kurds.

-He did oppress kurds though...
-Who built Sulaymania University and the whole academic curriculum was in kurdish?
-Hmm... the previous regime, Saddam did
-Who forced secondary school students in Baghdad to learn kurdish as a second language?
- Well, yes, true...the previous regime.
- Was there forced arabization ?
- No of course not...a lot of my kurdish relatives cannot speak arabic.
- Where are the alleged mass graves of Al Anfal?
- Hmm, they are there...
- Where there? Who saw them?
- Well, they said they were there...but I also heard recently Iran used chemicals too.

It's a little too late now...Why did they not tell us this before? (referring to Halabja)
- Who else gave autonomy rule to the kurds apart from Iraq? Iran? Turkey? Syria?
- No, no other country did...

I further confronted her with M.Barazani and Talabani's peshemergas being trained by the Mossad, Iran and the CIA. She could not refute it. Since it is not only common knowledge but Massood Barazani himself never denied it and confirmed his secret agreements with the CIA back in the 70's.

- So why don't you call them CIA and Mossad agents as well?

She still could not answer me ... Oh well, just another detail.

At that point, Mona finished her tea quickly and left...I don't think I will be seeing Mona again. Not for quite some time at least.

An eventful week indeed. Uncle Zayd came by.

Now Uncle Zayd is well over 70 years old and he is known to be a walking encyclopedia.

He knows everything that needs to be known about "who is who" in Baghdad.

He can give you in an instant the full personal resume of X, tracing X's lineage from his ancestry till this very day.

Uncle Zayd is a very learned man and I usually listen to him intently when he talks...

Except he has this annoying habit of speaking in such a low voice, one has to practically sit in his lap to hear him...apart from this detail...when Uncle Zayd talks, I am full ears.

More tea was served and I don't know how but the discussion took a sudden bifurcation and landed on Muqtada al Sadr, Chubby checkers and his drill boys.

I remember now, it was Kamel's dissapearance that pushed the conversation in that direction...

Now the exciting bits. I nearly fell off my chair when I heard this.

Chubby checkers was never a mullah and had hardly studied theology.

Now Uncle Zayd is an old man and he has been around...and this is what he had to say.

" Muqtada's father was killed by the Iranians...They had this long conflict in the Hawza's amongst themselves. The Iranian wing of the Hawza (theological authority) wanted Qum to become the point of all ultimate reference (Marja'iah) whilst Muqtada's father and his branch believed that Najaf should remain the ultimate Marja'iah - Basically a clerical conflict...When Muqtada's father was killed...Muqtada had nothing to do with religion per se...He used to be a football addict, a street boy, a bully and a thug, hated reading or studying and was considered a spoiled brat by everyone...
When he became orphaned, Saddam took pity on him and spoiled him even more with gifts...Now he has become a mullah...How? Only Allah knows...I have studied law all my life and I still do not consider myself a judge..."

Aha! That explains Chubby Checkers hatred for football... Relieving his guilty conscience for all the days he wasted in the streets banging that ball instead of studying...and that also explains the nature of his disciples, the drills boys...

And to think that he is considered the great anti-imperialist, anti-occupation force in today's Iraq is beyond comical...

Incidentally, the number of tortured, drilled bodies has shot up from 7-15 bodies a day dumped in various parts of the city to 30-40 a day...

Seems Chubby and his drill boys have made a comeback after some intensive training in both Iran and Kurdistan...Oh well, yet another detail.

Now for another piece...

Ammar al Hakim, the golden child. Son of Al Hakim, the daddy of the Badr Brigades of the Ministry of Interior, the leader of Iraq's Islamic revolutionary Council, referred to as "your eminence" by Bush. The one who came from Teheran after 25 years of "exile" and is now considered a leading role player in the "new Iraqi democracy".

Remember him? Oh Good.

Well, Ammar is his son. The one who was a bit roughed by the americans upon his return from Iran. Yeah that's him.

Seems that Ammar al Hakim has turned Basrah into his own personal market playground.
He trades the oil with whomsoever he wants, selling it, giving it away, making contracts...and of course collecting the cash witn absolutely no accountability...

And one more ...

It seems that satellite pictures of Basrah after the invasion showed a pipeline that was non existent in pre-invasion satellite pictures of that same area.

So the story goes, a special pipeline has been constructed since the invasion to pump oil for free...in order to pay the costs of "operation freedom", i.e to cover the costs of our liberation.

So Iraqis are paying with their own blood and oil for their "liberating" death.

How about that for a new juicy piece of gossip for the coming week?

Mona was talking about one of her best friends, a communist. She said:

"I have seen a lot in my life, but a communist supporting the american invasion and occupation, this I have never seen."

It is true, a few communists, actually more than a few, did vote for Allawi during the first round of our "free" elections. Oh well, yet another detail.

The Hamas-Fatah government taking office Sunday, March 18, is more than a policy failure by prime minister Ehud Olmert and foreign minister Tzipi Livni; it is another milestone on the road to the collapse of Israel’s Middle East positions at large, on a scale comparable to the setback to its deterrence from the mismanaged war against Hizballah last summer.

This fiasco is reflected in the horrified outcry across the board, from members of the Olmert government coalition and the opposition alike, as Israelis woke up Sunday, March 18, to face a hostile Palestinian government led by a terrorist organization, godfathered by Saudi Arabia, armed by Iran, and blessed by Western powers.

Exactly a week ago, on March 11, the Israeli prime minister said he was positively reviewing sections of the Saudi Arabian 2002 “peace plan.” He did not waver when Riyadh declared the hard-line text would not be modified when it is re-launched at the Arab summit in ten days’ time.

That afternoon, Olmert had his second interview with Mahmoud Abbas, chairman of the Palestinian Authority and leader of Fatah. He stressed the importance of “staying in touch with positive Palestinian elements.” This was also Livni’s mantra during her recent travels to the US and European capitals.

They both fell into the Palestinian trap, effectively sanctioning the seal of moderation with which Abbas and Fatah stamped a Palestinian government dominated by the Hamas terrorists.

Even more dangerously, the two Israeli leaders failed to question the covert Yalta-type understanding reached by Riyadh and Tehran. They ought to have grasped that when the Saudis and Iranians stuck their deal to preserve the Siniora government in Lebanon, as DEBKAfile revealed in late February, they must also have come to terms on the Palestinian issue.

And so they did. It was a package: Tehran called off the campaign led by its patsy Hizballah against the anti-Syrian Lebanese government, gaining stronger representation – at Syria’s expense, while the rival Palestinian factions were told in Mecca to share power – at Israel’s expense.

Olmert and Livni forgot a permanent Middle East axiom: Israel’s neighbors can always set aside their differences for common action against the Jewish state. Therefore, Sunni princes and Shiite clerics easily agreed on a Palestinian formula that would imperil Israel’s most vital interests.

They figured that, just as Syrian president Bashar Assad is too isolated to challenge his dependence on Tehran, so too Israel is too dependent on Washington to complain about Saudi under-the-table transactions with Iran for the sake of a deal on Iraq.

In the past year, Olmert-Livni policies have been so closely synchronized with Washington’s, that many of Israel’s vital interests have gone by the board.

It was their vain hope that Arab governments in fear of Iran’s ambitions would come to terms with Israel and move the Middle East closer to peace. This misreading was shared by opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu. What happened instead was that the so-called moderate Arab camp stood aside when Tehran focused its attention on building up the menace to Israel on the backs of the now-kosher Palestinian radicals.

Iran not only gave them arms, ordnance, cash and training, but also strategic depth. Its Revolutionary Guards have spread their wings into Gaza through Sinai up to the Suez and Mediterranean, and built up a war menace to Israel from the south, as well as the north. The realistic prospect is therefore closer to war rather than peace, the culmination of a process which the prime minister, his foreign minister and their advisers consistently missed or misread.

Addressing the Washington pro-Israel lobby AIPAC’s annual conference last week, Olmert and Livni both came out in support of the Bush administration’s military strategy in Iraq. Since that strategy hinges largely on covert Saudi-Iranian diplomacy in Washington’s name, Israeli government spokesmen implicitly gave America a blank check to pay for an Iraq accommodation at Israel’s expense.

Family of missing Iranian denies defection claims

TEHRAN: The family of a former Iranian general who has mysteriously disappeared denied on Monday reports he had defected, describing him as a loyal servant of the Islamic Republic who had moved into olive trading. The family of Ali Reza Asghari, a former deputy defense minister who vanished while on a private trip to Turkey, has made a complaint to Ankara's Embassy in Tehran over his disappearance, Iranian news agencies reported.

Asghari, 46, "took retirement at his own request two years ago and was doing business in olives and olive oil in Syria," his wife Sima Ahmadi said.

"All of these [reports] are enemy propaganda. There was no request for political asylum as there was no problem with the authorities. He was very attached to his family," she said.

The Washington Post reported last week that Asghari had left his country and was cooperating voluntarily with Western intelligence agencies while the Sunday Times of London alleged he had been spying on Iran since 2003.

"I am certain that my father was abducted by Israel and the United States because of the services he rendered to the Islamic Republic and the revolution," added his daughter, Elham Asghari.

Ahmadi said her husband had arrived in Turkey on December 7 and was going to return home the next day but then suddenly disappeared from his hotel.

"During our meeting with the Turkish ambassador we protested and said that the Turkish government was responsible for his disappearance," she said.

The Washington Post said Asghari was providing information on Hizbullah and Iran's links to the Lebanese group.

Iran has charged that Asghari may have been kidnapped by Western secret services amid Israeli and Turkish press reports that the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) or Israel's Mossad spy agency snatched or helped the Iranian defect.

Former officers with Mossad have said that Asghari had been instrumental in the founding of Hizbullah in the 1980s.

Israeli media claims that Asghari had information on Iran's nuclear program have been denied by Iranian officials and the Washington Post also said the issue was not at stake. - AFP

Ashgari's Kidnapping to provide a Pretext for War Against Iran

The story making the rounds (planted by Israelis) that retired Revolutionary Guard General and former Deputy Secretary of Defense Ali Reza Asghari has "defected" to the West, is pure cockandbull story.

First of all Ashgari lived in Lebanon and was with the Hizbullah. Lebanon as everyone knows has open borders and no restrictions on anyone leaving the country.

Even Iranians, including high officials, travel freely and are not restricted. Iran is more democratic than America, whose presidents are appointed by the courts. (Iran had 26 elections in since it's independence from America)

Ashgari was kidnapped from Turkey. Turkish intelligence and military has close alliance with Mossad. Additionally Turkey is a member of NATO and has NATO secret services operating there. Ashgari has been kidnapped just as Iranian diplomats were kidnapped in Iraq recently. This is part of the psychological warfare that America, NATO and Israel have launched against Iran in order to pressure Iran into giving up it’s civilian nuclear program.

Ashgari may know a thing about Hizbullah’s operations but it certainly will not help the Americans or the Israelis to unravel Hizbullah.

Hizbullah is not a regular army and it’s warfare tactics are Asymmetric, which includes it’s entire operational structure. Even Nasrallah himself does not know everything and were he to be taken captive by Americans or the Israelis it will not unravel Hizbullah.

Those who kidnapped Ashgari may torture him and extract “confessions” but they will be fooling themselves, as it will not be the real thing, but then the Americans and Israelis don’t care for the truth, all they want is war by any means.

Ashgari’s “information” will be the pretext for a war against Iran.

Israel involved in Iranian general's disappearance?

Former Iranian deputy defense minister vanished about a month ago on his way from Damascus to Turkey. Iranian officials say Mossad, CIA may have been involved in his disappearance

A senior Iranian general, Ali-Raza Asgari, went missing nearly a month ago in Istanbul and Iranian officials claim that Israel and the United States may have had a hand in his disappearance.

Several days ago, Iranian website Baztab, which is affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, reported that during the 1980s Asgari held a senior position in the Revolutionary Guards in Lebanon , and that following his return to Iran he was appointed deputy defense minister.

No official source in Iran has commented on the report about the disappearance, but a top official told Baztab that "some of the claims in the report are unequivocally incorrect."

The general's disappearance was first reported at the end of February in the Saudi newspaper al-Watan. The paper said that at the beginning of February Asgari visited Damascus and later flew o Istanbul in Turkey, where he checked into a hotel.

"Several Turkish citizens reserved a room for Asgari at the Gilan Hotel in Istanbul and paid for it, but haven't heard from him since," the paper stated.

"In a meeting held by the Turkish security officials with an Iranian delegation, the possibility was raised that the Mossad and the CIA were involved in his disappearance," it added.

Security sources in Turkey told a local newspaper that so far, the searches for Asgari have yielded no results.

According to a Turkish official, "The records do not show that a person under this name left Turkey, but given his sensitive job and the important information he possesses regarding the Iranian nuclear program, the possibility that he left Turkey using a fake passport and an alias is being examined."

Iranian nuclear scientist ‘assassinated by Mossad’

A PRIZE-WINNING Iranian nuclear scientist has died in mysterious circumstances, according to Radio Farda, which is funded by the US State Department and broadcasts to Iran.

An intelligence source suggested that Ardeshire Hassanpour, 44, a nuclear physicist, had been assassinated by Mossad, the Israeli security service.

Hassanpour worked at a plant in Isfahan where uranium hexafluoride gas is produced. The gas is needed to enrich uranium in another plant at Natanz which has become the focus of concerns that Iran may be developing nuclear weapons.

According to Radio Farda, Iranian reports of Hassanpour’s death emerged on January 21 after a delay of six days, giving the cause as “gas poisoning”. The Iranian reports did not say how or where Hassanpour was poisoned but his death was said to have been announced at a conference on nuclear safety.

Rheva Bhalla of Stratfor, the US intelligence company, claimed on Friday that Hassanpour had been targeted by Mossad and that there was “very strong intelligence” to suggest that he had been assassinated by the Israelis, who have repeatedly threatened to prevent Iran acquiring the bomb.

Hassanpour won Iran’s leading military research prize in 2004 and was awarded top prize at the Kharazmi international science festival in Iran last year.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is expected to announce next Sunday — the 28th anniversary of the Islamic revolution — that 3,000 centrifuges have been installed at Natanz, enabling Iran to move closer to industrial scale uranium enrichment.

Inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency say that hundreds of technicians and labourers have been “working feverishly” to assemble equipment at the plant.

“MOSSAD” ENGAGED IN TERRORIST ATTACKS

Today “Urbat” Club hosted Mukhlis Faraun, the acting Charge d'Affaires of Syria to Armenia who announced, “All the forces which are in Iraq today are occupants”.

“I understand why Armenians have appeared among these forces but I can say definitely that Armenians have killed no one in Iraq”.

Mr. Faraun maintains that the Palestinian and Iraqi territories are occupied. “There is an almighty power wishing to become the owner of all our lands. Today Iraq counters two problems, and there are two forces in the country. One of them struggles against the American troops and the other realizes terrorist attacks. They are sponsored by certain forces who intend to instigate civil war in Iraq and divide the country into two parts”.

The acting Charge d'Affaires of Syria is convinced that MOSSAD is involved in all terrorist attacks in Iraq. “None of the Arabs would dare to place a bomb near a church or to organize a terrorist attack. Syria has always struggled and will still struggle for its freedom and will never obey anyone. I don’t like to abuse others and I hate being abused”.

As for the Armenian-Syrian relations, Mr. Faraun complains that there is no link or road bridging the two countries.

Mr. Faraun thinks highly of the Armenian people especially noticing their great respect and love towards the Syrians. “My neighbours were Armenians. Their meals, namely pungent peppers and other spices spoilt my stomach”. Regardless of this problem, Mr. Faraun hasn’t changed his opinion towards Armenians, “All the Armenian servicemen leaving for Iraq can stop at my place in Syria, have coffee and gin with me and then head to Syria”.

"The powers that be" decided it's time for the Democrats to play their predestined roll in the final phase of " Iraq no More. The curtain is coming down on the last scene of " Bravo Republicans" for the long awaited objective of destroying Iraq for Israel. After a short recess the curtain will rise again with a new scene from " Come home Yankees, we know you tried" as if to say, We went to Iraq to teach Iraqis democracy but they refused to learn it.

When I was a kid, not even out of elementary school yet, I somehow knew the CIA was the most powerful intelligence service in the World. And, In 2001 I knew that Saddam Hussien had no weapons of mass destructions; however the CIA stated that they did not know. (or so, they wanted us to so believe this story) At the time , Bush et al were taking to the airwaves to convince Americans about Saddam's WMDs, and his links to Bin Laden. Once again, I knew right then and there that they were lying. At that time Iraqis lost 500,000 children due to malnutrition and lack of medicine due to a decade of sanctions by the US and the UN on innocent Iraqi civilians, which was acknowledged at that time by then- Secretary of State Madeleine Albright when she said in an interview after being asked about the half million Iraqi children's death: " We think the price is worth it." Iraq was not permitted to import any kind of electrical or mechanical equipment under the sanctions. Technically Iraq was sent back to the dark ages and I knew they would not have the capacity to threaten anyone much less the US.

In 1982, a Mossad strategy paper was published in Beirut by the AAUG where it took each Arab country and described in details where the fault lines exist in every country and the easiest way to break it up. They said Iraq was to be broken up into three different countries, Kurds, Sunnis, and Shiites. In 1996 Zionist Richard Perle, who in 2001 was the Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Policy, Zionist Douglas Feith, who in 2001 was the Chairman of the Office of Special planning at the Pentagon and others, mainly Jewish Zionists, wrote a policy paper titled " A Clean Break: Strategy for Securing the Realm" and presented it to then Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu which clearly stated "...removing Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq,” an important Israeli strategic objective in its own right." It also clearly stated the idea of a " New Middle East" It was also presented to then President Clinton who rejected the idea of invading Iraq and removing Saddam Hussien. If you look at the Bush Administration in the first term you will see it was saturated with Jews who were more Israeli than American. Their loyalty was to make sure Israeli demands are met even if it was at the expense of America, no mater what the cost may be.

It is now obvious to everyone that the only reason America attacked Iraq was to break it up into three countries. The US and the whole World knew back then, before the war on Iraq started, that an Iraqi civil war was the only result to be expected. Well, that is exactly what was needed to breakup the country. Now the country is in the middle of, and being encouraged by many powers, a civil war until the end. Knowingly or not, the American military establishment was able to meet Israel's objective. The job is done - it's well done. As a matter of fact, most of the Zionists have left George Bush to deal with the problem alone. They are distancing themselves from him. Most of those Zionists who started the war are long gone, so no one would point a finger at the "Jews". It's not possible for the Republicans to cut and run from Iraq even though the war objective was met. It's not good for America's reputation in the world. Therefore, it is time for someone other than Republicans to clean up the mess, and since we do not have anyone else but the Democrats, so the democrats were hired to finish the job.

You don't need to be a genius to see the shift in the Mainstream Media coverage of Iraq in the last few months before the elections in November to figure out that the "powers that be" have decided to remove the Republicans and bring in the Democrats to wrap things up as the good guys who did not like what the Republicans have done. Now we will see more and more voices calling for the troops to pull out and Iraq to go on its own way to becoming three warring states. In other words, the Democrats were brought up to the table to continue this well written drama that only Shakespeare may understand its workings.

The Democrats' commitment to Israel is as equal or greater than the Republicans'. Iraq is only the first scene in this drama. The curtain is now going up to start the beginning of the first scene of the second act of "Iraq no More" which would include a war between the Muslims, Sunnis and Shiites. Nancy Pelosi, the Democrats big boss on the Hill is a strong supporter of Israel. At AIPAC's last conference, which incidentally took place around the same time the lobby group was busted for spying on The United States for Israel, Pelosi said: "There are those who contend that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is all about Israel's occupation of the West Bank and Gaza; this is absolute nonsense. In truth, the history of the conflict is not over occupation, and never has been: it is over the fundamental right of Israel to exist." Of course any one with an ounce of common sense knows that it is the Israeli occupation that is the core of the problem. It could not be Israel's security that is in question here, after all Israel has the fourth strongest army in the World who for over 60 years militarily oppressed the unarmed Palestinians. Now let us set back and watch the beginning of the second act as this kabalistic drama plays out in front of our own eyes. The job of splitting Iraq into three states is done and almost complete- A stated Israeli policy- and now it is time to bring the boys and girls home. But of course, to save face, America needs to play "good cop, bad cop" and now it is the good cop's time to shine. In the next scene we will see Israel and some of the Arab countries having a common enemy, Iran. Israel will finally look as if her security concerns are those of the Arabs, and therefore, the cards will be shuffled again and Israel will pick up yet some more publicity in the Arab world, while Iran, the Shiites in Iraq, and Hizbullah will play a major role in our new drama, and of course, this will be done on the account of the Palestinians and their cause. The latest assassination in Lebanon of Pierre Gemayel, the son of former Lebanese president Amin Gemayel definitely is a scene from this act, and it came about at precisely the right moment to yet define the dividing lines between Sunnis and Shiites even though Pierr was a Christian. Now things are much clearer to where the Middle East is headed. The drama continues.

Sader City


After a great effort, we were able to get one of the men who survived from the mass kidnapping of the Fellowship Directoriate two weeks ago, the only reason of his survival is that his name is Ali, a matter made Mahdi army thinking that he is Shiite.

The man was describing how they were blindfolded and taken in cars to Sader city where they were received with great joy by men and women of Sader city there, the man said that for his surprise that women there were making these special Iraqi vocal singlas we called them " Halahel" because they were so happy that these Sunni men will be tortured and killed as the Madhi army has brought the criminals behind Iraq's catasrophe.

The man said that he could not believe what he was listening to and what he was looking at after his eyes were unfolded, the people who live around the place where these abducted men taken were so glad and vowing of more revenage, while session of torture resumed immediatly against the kidnapped victims by most brutal means used by humanity till now, beginning from the drills and ending with eyes removal and then to be thrown in teh trash.

The man who was one of few survivers informed the families of the victims he knew to go and collect the bodies of their relatives because he has seen them while they were tortured till the last breath and their accusation is that they were Sunni infidelas and Baghdad must be exclusive to Shiite only.

After few days, Sader city riddled with three cars bombs and more than 200 Iraqi killed, everybody was syaing that these cars bombs were a reaction to the 150 man kidnapped by Mahdi army, a very good indication that violent acts only breed more violence and the victims always innocent people.

But some of the analysts were asking about the reason behind that deterioration between Sader current and Sunni while they had good relation before, one of the reasons they gave was that Bader brigade was not happy about this relation especially SCIRI wants to have a federalism of the south and middle of Iraq and the only way to drag the Sader current to their side and to take part in the governmnet was to damage this relation by sending cars bombs to Sader city and blaming the Sunni though evreybody know that no Sunni dares to go to Sader city because of Mahdi army control of the city and the so many chek points that make it so difficult for non Shiite person to get inside the city and put cars bombs.

Prominent anti-Syrian Christian politician Pierre Gemayel was assassinated in a suburb of Beirut on Tuesday, his Phalange Party Voice of Lebanon radio station reported.

The shooting will certainly heighten the political tension in Lebanon, where the leading Muslim Shiite party Hezbollah has threatened to topple the government if it does not get a bigger say in Cabinet decision-making.

Gemayel was rushed to a nearby hospital, according to the Lebanese Broadcasting Corp. and the Voice of Lebanon, the Phalange Party mouthpiece reported. The party later announced that he was dead.

Gemayel, the minister of industry and son of former President Amin Gemayel, was a supporter of the anti-Syrian parliamentary majority, which is locked in a power struggle with pro-Syrian factions led by Hezbollah.

He was named for his grandfather, who founded the Phalange Party in 1936 to exert Christian power in Lebanon. It dominated Christian politics for decades after Lebanon's independence from France in 1943.

During the civil war, the Phalange had the largest Christian militia that fought Muslim forces and Palestinian guerrillas. The death of the senior Pierre Gemayel in 1983, the shrinking Christian community and internal dissent have seriously weakened the party, which could not get its own leader elected to parliament in 2000.

Amin Gemayel served as Lebanon's president from 1982 to 1988. He was elected by parliament after the assassination of his brother, Bashir, who was chosen president but was killed a few days before he was to take office.
