The council resolution [CCR press release] reads:
[T]he Council of the City of Berkeley endorses the case of Rumsfeld et al. . . .The complaint, filed [JURIST report] in November 2006 on behalf of eleven former Abu Ghraib detainees and one Guantanamo detainee all claiming to have been victims of US torture, asks the German Federal Prosecutor [official website] to investigate and ultimately prosecute Rumsfeld and the other officials. It invokes Germany's universal jurisdiction [AI backgrounder] law, which allows the prosecution of war crimes no matter where they were carried out. The San Francisco Chronicle has more.
[T]he Council of the City of Berkeley supports all efforts throughout the world to hold Donald Rumsfeld and other United States officials who have prosecuted the War on Terror in violation of any applicable law to be held both civilly and criminally accountable for their actions before any tribunal with jurisdiction over the matter, whether such legal proceedings are pursued in this country or abroad.

Any attempt to bring an American state or U.S. official before an international court ("or abroad") which is based in the supremacy of communitarian law is a criminal offense against the American people. The obvious ultimate goal of the War on Terror is to create a global communitarian government justice system under one central authority. Their published plan is to merge the might of the U.S. military under the supreme authority of the revised, new, nicer United Nations. They toned down their communist rhetoric in favor of communitarian values.
Suggesting prosecution of U.S. officials using any other law or court system of justice other than U.S. Constitutional Law is the work of Fabian change agents. Passing a resolution to endorse such treasonous action is the work of U.S. shills and dupes. The fake "solution" to the War on Terror requires the American people to beg for justice in an international court.. this will give the UN court the needed authority over other "rogue" nations unwilling to join their assigned Regional Union. Unlike the Americans who just let the GATT, NAFTA, CAFTA, WTO, and NAU negotiations and teaties destroy their nation, many Third World countries said nay. The War on Terror is against all the nations who refused to comply with U.N. mandates under Local Agenda 21 and the WTO. It's a set-up, and it's no suprise Amitai Etzioni's alma mater town is the first to pass his NWO ideas off as their own.
Merging all nations is the goal. All hail HRH Queen Beatrix!
